Chain Gang of 1974
Created by Kamtin Mohager a shape-shifting singer/multi-instrumentalist, the Chain Gang of 1974 is set apart from other Reagan-era revivalists by an innate sense of rhythm, a skill he acquired at an early age. And we're not just talking about his parents' punchy, groove-riding record collection. We're talking about family gatherings and traditions that taught Mohager how to make a crowd of cool kids uncross their arms and dance like there's pistols pointed at their feet.

Churchill
In less than two years of existence as a band, Churchill has turned more heads and attracted more attention than many bands that have been working the scene for years. Churchill began with two friends, acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter Tim Bruns and mandolin player Mike Morter, who decided join forces and start a new band in Denver. While the two musicians came from a country-bluegrass background, the addition of the bass/drum powerhouse of Tyler Rima and Joe Richmond brought more of a rock vibe into the mix. Rounding out the lineup was keyboardist/vocalist Bethany Kelly, who comes from a classical background. The process took only a few weeks, and the chemistry was apparent, resulting in a dynamic fusion of styles into a sound that is uniquely and unmistakably Churchill.

Spires
Spires is pure melodic, half-melancholic pop honey. Waves of nostalgic guitar riffage and shredding sail across pinpoint drums and throbbing bass. Pure 1990s memory trippers. They channel Starflyer 59, early Interpol, Solaris, Slowdive, My Blood Valentine, etc. But, Spires retain a fresh sound and impossibly catchy melodies that seem to be stuck years back in your mind.

Slam Nuba
Slam Nuba is an award-winning collective of many of Denver's finest poets, hosting a bi-monthly poetry slam at the Crossroads Theater. Andrea Rose Contortionist
Illuminated Arts and Entertainment will be represented by Andrea R. Thompson, an emerging Circus Artist specializing in Contortion. Her skills were recognized this past summer when she was selected to participate, along with students from around the world, in an Intensive Circus Arts program at the Ecole Nationale de Cirque in Montreal, Canada. Originally, Andrea grew up traveling the Pow Wow Circuit with her mother and is enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa. Andrea has performed as a Northern Traditional Buckskin Dancer for the Native American Music Awards , and with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra. Xendra Fire Dancer
Xendra has 7 years experience in the fire arts. She has danced in various parts the world: the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico, and, of course, here in the United States. Since 2005, she has collaborated with different performance artists, such as Synge, a former Denver fire troupe comprised of 5 talented circus dancers; Sephiroth, a local dance crew consisting of 5 creative members that specialize in prayerformance; and with some of the top bellydancers, including world famous, Kaya and Sadie.
